Minage Montage: N2; Developing Skills in Creative Arts (H22K 72)

This project aimed to explore a number of creative skills: portraiture, digital imaging, acrylic painting and montage. An image of Nicki Minage was voted for by the group from a selection of front-on portraits. Pupils digitally manipulated the image to de-saturate the colour and remove extraneous detail. An A3 print was made, and pupils provided with a pre-prepared acrylic pallet with which to over-paint the printed image. I the final part of the process, pupils experimented with different layouts to produce the completed montage.
